The overall purpose of "The Vampire Fragments"
I want this website to become the first place that people go, when they seek out resources, information and news about (or related to) modern vampyrism. As I see it now, all knowledge is spread out, all-over the internet, as fragments in a huge web, which needs sorting out. I aspire to gather and work with all the resources from the GVC on both a subjective and academic level (separately), whilst cooperating with other individuals from the GVC. Overall I want a uniform representation of all information, research, views and discussions, creating a better overlook over all knowledge on the subject of modern vampyrism, and ultimately create and publish new projects and research to the community.
Why did I create "The Vampire Fragments"?
Over the years the vampire community has declined in a steady pace, and people have become more aggressive towards each other. People are not using proper arguments, or valid argumentation, but are only trying to put others down. There are groups, networks and organizations who work against each other, to gain control, power or reputation, instead of collaborating and working together for the greater good of the community. This is a sad fact, that we have been living with for some time now, and I wish to do something about it. I understand and respect that there exists many different views and beliefs in regard to modern vampyrism, and I wish to exhibit all of these on a common ground, whilst being fair to all perspectives, if I agree with them or not. I know that not everybody can get along, and I want to show why that is, so that we can better understand the whole of the community, and maybe become more respectful towards each other for having different views.
Not re-inventing the wheel
There is so much information and so many resources in the world about modern vampyrism, both online and offline, and I don't want to re-create these, I only wish to compile and categorize them, and then work with and discuss the material. Yes, maybe this has been done many times before, but I truly believe that it hasn't been done on this scale, or in this manner, where everything is being taken into consideration objectively. All in all, I wish to collect information, create new projects and publish new research to the community, whilst advocating tolerance and understanding for one another, and hopefully unify the community along the way.
